Mission: To support, connect, and celebrate the multicultural communities in the Taupō district.

  • Promote mutual support between ethnic communities and the wider Taupō district.
  • Support migrants and the international community with integration and finding connection. 
  • Encourage the development of multiculturalism.

About Taupō

  • Lake Taupō is the largest freshwater lake in Australasia and is the crater of one of the largest volcanic eruptions the earth has seen in the last 5000 years.
  • Taupō region is world famous for its trout fishing, both in Lake Taupō and in rivers. 
  • Mountain biking, golfing, sky diving, and many day walks are popular activities in the region.

  • Quarterly potluck dinner.
  • Drop-in ESOL workshops. 
  • Summer picnics. 
  • Celebrations, e.g., Diwali, Matariki, Christmas.
